A Big Thank You

Yesterday, the PTFA staged our biggest event of the year, the Woodcote Primary School Summer Fair. The sun shone, the crowds turned up, and we’re delighted to report it was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone.

A full report, including how much money we raised, will be posted here before long, but we wanted to write first of all to thank everybody who made this happen:

The brilliant volunteers, who took time out of their weekend to come and run a stall, set up dozens of chairs and tables, cook and serve food, and clean up afterwards.

The parents who have so generously donated prizes, bottles and cakes over the last few weeks, remembered all the mufti days, put up with the bombardment of emails and messages from the PTFA committee, and who ultimately turned up and spent their hard-earned cash at the stalls on Saturday.

The children who helped out on the day, sung in the choir, pestered their parents for spending money and created such a great atmosphere around the school.

The school staff who helped to prepare the school for the day, helped with the communications, ran stalls, conducted the choir, and cleaned up afterwards.

The PTFA committee, most of whom have only been in their roles for a couple of months, have worked really hard to organised and deliver this huge event.

Past committee members, who helped the new committee with advice, time, hard work and experience so important for running an event like this.

The wonderful local businesses who generously donated so many great prizes for the raffles.

And finally, the weather, for being so perfect for what was the highlight of the summer so far!
