As usual the PTFA Committee is in full on organising mode with seasonal events for the children and families of Woodcote Primary School.

The BIG event is the Christmas Fair on Saturday the 7th of December (1-4pm).  We have fairground rides in the KS 2 playground helping create atmosphere with fun lights and movement.  The main hall and year 3 & 4 classrooms will hold our great face painting, books and uniform sales, game stalls run by yr 5 & 6 students and the Help Point in 3M.  The Tombolas will be in the library area.  We have Sandy creating her fabulous hot food in the Kitchen and the Hall will also stage our KS1 and 2 choirs and Shopping Stalls with hand made jewellery, crafts, gifts, cards and clothes.  We also have a Stall run by and offering handmade gift created by some of our talented grannies.  All ofthe money made on this stall will be donated to the PTFA.

This year drinks including mulled wine and some fabulous cakes will be served near to the cake stall where there will be cake decorating for the kids too.

And on top of all that we have our fabulous Santa’s Grotto where you can choose to have a photo with the man himself and while you’re waiting have fun with our friendly elves.

Our Face Painting is seasonal this year with some great faces.

If you can help out with any events or would like a stall contact us.

Mufti/ Donation days

 – Help collect and sort items (November 15th, 29th & December 6th and 13th )

Winter Fair Saturday 7th December 1-4pm

– There will be fair rides , stalls, games and hot food and drink a plenty.  A visit to our Santa’s Grotto will ensure the kids regain the magic of Christmas and we have a photographer to ensure you have a lasting memory.  Remember there are lots of Grotto’s around but considering ours is run by volunteers, very competitively prices and all profits go to the school our is not to be missed!  We need helpers face painting, running stalls, serving refreshments and more!

Christmas Shopping Day 16th December (all day)

 – This is a great day when all pupils can choose a gift for a loved one and have it wrapped by a volunteer.  The children write (or have help to write) their own personalised label and take the gift home for under the tree!

To participate kids must have brought £1 in to their teacher in a named envelope by Friday 13th of December.  The Mufti Day also on Friday 13th is for gift donations for Shopping Day.  This is a hectic fun day for volunteers and the kids love it. It’s also a great fundraiser!

Christmas Performances

– Every year the PTFA provide and serve refreshments at the Christmas performances.  This can be to help set and clear up or just for half an hour or so before the performance.  You can help at one or more and you can be as festive as you want, tinsel, bells, fairy lights….
